It’s a jungle out there !!

The importance of written communication increases every day!

Good writing skills are the tools of effective written communication

for everyone!

So, this year, at Queen of Peace, we will be working on acquiring and

maintaining good written communication skills!

Each month, Miss Terri will send out a prompt to Grades 4 to 8.

Students are asked to develop their own ideas using good grammar and punctuation skills.

She will then choose one story per class which will hang on the top bulletin board

at the entrance of our school. The winner will receive a

“Principal’s Award” certificate.

Names of class winners will appear on our school website each month.

Students in Grades 4 to 8 participate in a monthly creative writing contest. The prompt for

October was: "My taste buds explode when I eat......" One winner is chosen from each homeroom.
