Mrs. Sandy DeRogatis

I am proud to say that I am a graduate of both Queen of Peace Elementary and High Schools. I attended Seton Hall University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Chemistry. I worked in a laboratory for 13 years prior to teaching. I then pursued a teaching career, attending St. Peter's College. I am married with 2 sons and live in North Arlington.

As a teacher, I always encourage excellence in my students. I challenge my students with a curriculum that includes interesting and interactive presentations. Although I begin with a traditional lecture, I then provide a variety of multimedia including videos, the internet, power points, and the Smartboard. I hope to instill a love of Science and Math in my students through the use of our new Science Lab. Hands on activities enhance critical thinking skills and perhaps their curiosity and enthusiasm will inspire them to reach for the starsl
