PRESERVING CATHOLIC EDUCATION FOR THE 21ST CENTURY
Catholic education has been called "the most effective means of transmitting Gospel values..." to youg people. Study after study document both the effectiveness and quality of
America's Catholic schools. Not only are graduates well prepared for further education and careers, but they are more likely, as adults, to be active leaders in their church and community as well as educate their children in Catholic schools.

Today's young people represent the future generation of Catholics in
America. Shouldn't they be given the same opportunity to receive a Catholic education as preceding generations?

A Catholic education in this era of American society may be profoundly more important now than ever before.

"VALUES" has recently become a fashionable buzzword in general education. Moral values have never been a passing fashion, but rather the very essence, meaning and reason for existence for Catholic schools.

INVEST IN QUALITY CATHOLIC EDUCATION

A Catholic education must also be a quality education. Quality teachers, programs, facilities, materials, textbooks, technology and supplies all require substantial resources. Catholic schools, in recent years have also undergone major transitional changes from predominantly "religious" faculties to "lay" teaching staffs. Many studies indicate that Catholic schools continue to be an effective source of quality education. Retaining quality teachers is essential for Catholic education to be successful. Catholic schools must be able to retain their dedicated and talented teachers by providing just and reasonable salaries. The Endowment Fund is an effective way to help retain our faculty members.

Many Catholic schools are trapped in a wage/tuition spiral, annually raising tuition in attempts to provide teachers just and reasonable wages. At the same time a danger exists that we will be "pricing out" families who aspire to receiving Catholic education. Your gift to the Endowment Fund is not only an instrument in Catholic education, but a legacy; a legacy that passes on the faith to the next generation. Jesus said, "Let the little children come unto me." Your gift will enable young people to experience the Gospel messsage of Jesus Christ.

WHAT YOUR GIFT CAN DO

- hold down the cost of tuition.

- maintain and improve school curriculum.

- assist in necessary capital improvements.

- most importantly, be a faith expression and testimony to your belief in catholic education.

-benefit you with a tax deduction for making a charitable gift.
