Servers
Below you will find a link to the new altar server schedule. The schedule can also be picked up in person from the rectory office, the grammar school office, or the CCD office. We have obtained a new scheduling program. All server information (e.g. differing availabilities for students in the different schools) has been entered by hand. Please be sure to let Father Kelly know if you discover any errors.
Because of a series of requests and complaints, the altar server dress code will be emphasized this year. In particular, unless they have gym class, QPGS student servers are expected to wear school shoes when serving. At all other times and for all other servers, dress shoes or loafers are strongly preferred, but plain black sneakers are acceptable. Track shoes or other types of sneakers are not acceptable, especially for weddings and funerals. Servers who are not dressed or groomed appropriately for an event will not be permitted to serve that event.
Moreover, serving at weddings and funerals is a privilege. Servers who do not show up at their assignments on the regular schedule will not be asked to serve weddings or funerals.
