The Student Council exists primarily to allow students to develop leadership skills, to work cooperatively with others, and to take the initiative to run sponsored activities. The members are responsible for tallying the food pantry items and box tops collected each First Friday. They help with various activities that raise money for the school: selling lollipops, pictures with Santa, seasonal raffles. At the end of the school year the Student Council hosts a Carnival for all students.
The Student Council, moderated by Ms. Cherry and Mrs. Petrocelli, is open to 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grader students approved by Mrs. Naughton and faculty members. Class Representatives are voted in by the class members. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 3:00-4:00 PM in Room 28. Unofficial meetings are called when necessary.
