Hello QPGS Families,
As we begin this beautiful fall season, I want to thank you once again for choosing a Catholic education for your children. Your commitment and sacrifices are deeply appreciated. Father Anthony, our faculty, and I are honored to walk with your children on their journey of faith, learning, and growth.
This school year has been filled with blessings and joyful celebration. We recently marked the 100th Anniversary of Queen of Peace Grammar School with a special Mass led by His Eminence Cardinal Dolan and Bishop Michael Saporito. Following the liturgy, our QPGS family gathered for an open house and reception—a wonderful day to celebrate God’s blessings, our faith, and the gift of Catholic education. Alumni, current students, and families all came together to honor the legacy and spirit of QPGS.
Our Centennial Gala was another unforgettable moment, bringing together more than 120 guests—including former students, faculty, families, and friends—for an evening filled with joy and gratitude. We proudly honored Ernest “Ernie” Cerone and Kathleen Kiszka as our Centennial Award recipients for their faithful dedication and service to the Queen of Peace community. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who supported this milestone event—especially to our Gala committee and volunteers whose months of planning made it a truly special night.
We also extend a warm welcome to all our new families that joined QPGS in Pre-K2 through 8th grade. Our fall clubs are in full swing, offering students exciting opportunities to explore their talents and interests. A special note of gratitude to our Home and School Association (HSA), whose tireless efforts help bring so much joy to our school community. The HSA has many wonderful events planned this quarter—including Grandparents’ Day, Trunk-or-Treat, Cards for a Cause, and Pocketbook BINGO—and our class field trips are already underway.
As we look ahead with faith and gratitude, we thank God for the many blessings bestowed upon our school for the past 100 years and pray for His continued guidance as we begin our next century of Catholic excellence.
